The Onyx in Uptown Waterloo Welcomes its First Residents

Congratulations to The Onyx, who opened its doors to residents May 1st, 2015. The Barrel Yards project was first approved by the City of Waterloo in 2008. Today, The Cooperage has over 70% residency and The Onyx has now moved in its first tenants with many more on the way!
The Cooperage suites have been thriving and the first Cooperage building celebrated its one-year anniversary this past spring. The Onyx will add another luxury living option for Barrel Yards residents.
Unlike the modern vibe of The Cooperage, The Onyx has taken on an art deco décor with luxurious details. The Onyx has a lot to offer with glamorous amenities including an entertainment lounge, a billiards room, a library, with adjacent meeting rooms and boardroom, a fully equipped fitness centre, a yoga studio, and a 20-seat movie theatre.
The Barrel Yards community in Uptown Waterloo is over a decade in the making, which makes every move-in an exciting occasion! The first residents of The Onyx have a lot to look forward to as this unique community expands and grows.
