Resident Spotlight: Cassandra Caccioppoli and Simba

This month, we bring you a very special resident spotlight straight from The Cooperage! One year ago this November, Cassandra, her fiancé Matthew, and their adorable 1-year-old Samoyed puppy, Simba, moved into The Barrel Yards. That means we have two very important milestones to celebrate with them — their Resident Anniversary (it’s a thing) and their recent engagement! Let us raise a glass for Cass, Matt, and their fluffball Simba!
Cassandra is a professional dancer and choreographer. She has worked with numerous talented artists over the span of her career, including the one-and-only Janet Jackson! In her spare time, Cassandra also works for her father, the owner of a local fine-foods store, Vincenzo’s, in Uptown Waterloo! Her precious pup, Simba, has earned his Masters in Sock Stealing and is making use of it daily.
WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE THE BARREL YARDS?
Cass: My fiancé and I chose The Barrel Yards because we wanted a place close to everything in the city with tons of space for our high energy pup to run around and play.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST ABOUT LIVING AT THE BARREL YARDS?
Cass: What we enjoy most is the fact that we have everything we need or could want in one space — great amenities, a beautiful park across the street, amazing friends, neighbours and staff, and the ability to walk virtually everywhere! We love that we can take our furbaby out for leisurely walks through scenic Waterloo Park, and that all our favourite Uptown spots are in close proximity. Everything is in walking distance!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ON-SITE AMENITY?
Cass: Our favourite amenity would have to be the onsite gym and the rooftop lounge. It’s nice to be able to wake up and take just a short elevator ride up to our workouts! The rooftop lounge/guest suite is also perfect for our families, who occasionally come to visit us from out of town.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE CONSIDERING LIVING AT THE BARREL YARDS?
Cass: Do it! We have no regrets!
