Resident Spotlight: Becca, Brad and Theo!

This month’s spotlight focuses on Becca, Brad, and Theo, who moved to The Barrel Yards in April. Becca is currently a Ph.D. student in Urban Planning at the University of British Columbia and Brad is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. In their spare time, Becca and Brad love cycling, cooking, playing board games, craft beers, and dogs. They have a big fluffy Samoyed named Theo, who is very friendly and loves treats, tug of war, and playing in Waterloo Park. We are thrilled to welcome Becca, Brad, and Theo to our community!
What made you choose the Barrel Yards?
We chose the Barrel Yards because of the walkable location and the pet-friendly nature of the building.
What do you enjoy most about living at the Barrel Yards?
We enjoy sitting on our balcony overlooking Waterloo Park and the ION light rail. We also enjoy talking Theo for walks and bumping into all our neighbours.
What is your favourite on-site amenity?
There are multiple options to choose from, but our favourite amenity is the rooftop BBQ. Our second favourite would be the gym because we have too much BBQ!
Theo, what’s your favourite part about living at the Barrel Yards?
My favourite part is the location, location, location! What more could a pup want!? I love staying cool on my balcony with the wind in my fur, looking at all the doggos and their humans pass by. Living near the park is the best because I have so much fun chasing balls and trying to play with the alpacas!
Have you made any other pup friends at the Barrel Yards?
Yes! Every pup I meet is pawsome, but I have so much fun with Ozzy the Samoyed and Charles the English Bulldog! You can follow my day-to-day adventures on my Instagram@theothesammy.
